Overview

It stands at an impressive elevation of 2694 m (8839 ft) above sea level and is considered as one of the most challenging and rewarding peaks to conquer in the entire Balkan region. Located in the Albanian Alps mountain range, Jezerca offers breathtaking views, rugged terrain, and true mountaineering experience.
The best time to attempt a climb in Jezerca Peak is during summer months, typically from June to September. During this period, the weather is more favorable while snow and ice have receded, making the ascent safer. However, even during the summer, weather conditions can change rapidly, so it’s crucial to be prepared for all scenarios.
The climb starts from Valbona National Park, from Ragami village, and it takes 6 to 7 hours to reach the peak.
